I never mind to say I get therapy; I feel justified as luckier than most because the world is crazy. I've seen a few therapist and psychiatrist and even been prescribed a few meds here and there. I could drinking six years ago, and my life changed following; the one consistency was not alcoholics anonymous or a group or a alcohol specific program;in my case, it was a weekly regiment of seeing a therapist and a weekly basis. I'll keep on going until I see no need. Until then, I'll go here. Why? I never see people waiting in line at the window or an office full, or even there a patient waiting in their chair for over 15 minutes. I see Dr Grossberg, I have never waited more than 5 minutes and he is equally forgiving should we need to cancel on one another; either for life's problems, or unexpected surprises. Upon these unfortunate cancellations, he doesn't give you either the guilt trip or hard luck line. Since I have stayed with him over a half of a decade, I have been satisfied with what I get and where I stand today, versus so many others.
Great office and great counseling. That's the basics. Many people don't review a therapist; I can understand why, there is still a stigma out there. Personally, this is why I do reviews; I don't believe in stigma, should you have a problem with the fact that I go to see a therapist, you might want to look in the mirror on that one. Most of us only avoid therapy when we need it most; simply put, this is when the pressure is also applied the most, and in the most extreme way, driving even the semi-willing away. Not going to see a therapist for the benefit of a relationship or in an attempt to work out your own personal issues that may bear problems in all areas of your life. I ask you which is worse all of those problems or a little modesty and humility. However, in the moment you sit down and one of these chairs in the moment do you find a good therapist that matches you, is the moment your life's problems become a shared concept... even your darkest. I recommend this to all types of mental health problems. There are more than enough staff to accommodate those issues.
